It’s here.

THE SPEAR OF STARS: The Cycle of Galand #5. You can pick it up on Amazon, Amazon UK, and paperback. And yep, it’s currently enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.

Tim Reynolds is working on the audiobook recording as we speak. With any luck, it’ll be out in August or September.

TSOS-ebook 600x900

This is the longest book in the Cycle of Galand by a good bit—637 pages, just a hair shorter than THE GREAT RIFT. Even so, I didn’t get to cover everything I wanted to in this one, meaning there pretty much have to be two more books in the series.

Let me know if you’ve got any questions. If not, go forth and read!

This is awesome!!! I’ve been waiting for this series to continue and I am excited you got Tim Gerard Reynolds!

  • Brad says:

Totally hanging out for the audio book! the quicker the better :)

  • JC Fox says:

This may seem odd, but this post to your site has completely ruined my day. I have been so busy it slipped my mind to check everyday in June for this most anticipated release. Now I’m stuck at work for another 4 hours. The wait to get home to download this book and start reading is maddening, considering I should already be on my second reading of said novel. 3 hours and 58 minutes now.

  • Chris says:

So happy to have another book to read in this world! Only purchased a few days ago and I’m 25% through already… so excited there will be more!

  • David R Drew says:

Wow! That was fast. I thought it would be quite awhile. I appreciate the speed at which you write!

  • Juan C Gomez says:

Your books have the best banter, and the narrator is equally superb at voicing it.

I cant even bring myself to start this book without listening to it at the same time. I hope he finishes up soon!

    • Ed Robertson says:

Tim does add another dimension to it for sure. It will probably be another month or two to finish production and process it through Audible (the latter of which takes longer than you think), but Podium has become a pretty well-oiled machine, and I’m sure they’ll get it out as soon as they can.

      • Juan C Gomez says:

Well, I couldn’t resist. I just finished it, and I sincerely hope your brain never runs out of words to put on pages.

  • Ben says:

Loved the Spear, Ed. You could drag this series out another 20 books and I would read and thoroughly enjoy them all. Tally-ho!

  • Snowskeeper says:

    This series will never end.

That’s probably OK, though, if they keep at anything like the quality of the rest of the books. Thank you for this. Will listen to it as soon as it’s out.

  • Andrew Charles Manor says:

I’m so stoked! Fixing to start reading all eight books due to my sweet wife getting me all of them off Amazon (now I have a Edward W. Robertson section on my book case). I have already listened to all of them up to The Spear of Stars but I want to do a start to finish with what you have done so far.

Thank you for all your hard work! This series is flipping awesome, cant wait to here the narration by Tim for The Spear of Stars as soon as its out.

  • Ashley says:

I’m so excited. I just love following these two around and your series is one of the few fantasy series where I don’t have to brace myself for disappointment everytime a female character shows up. You have no idea how much that means to me [and many of my friends].

  • Ray says:

I recently discovered The Cycle of Arawn and listened to all the audiobooks as often as I could. When finished I immediately started The Red Sea and continued until I finished The Light of Life last night. I have a six hour car ride this weekend and no Blays and Dante to keep me company. I’d even settle for a sermon from Gladdick about now, but alas, good things surely must come to the blighted who wait.

  • Nathan Franks says:

When is the audiobook coming out?

  • Michael Weis says:

Our favorite nethermancer isn’t on the cover. OMG, is he dead?

  • Andy Ryder says:

Just finished the Spear of Stars. I was going to wait for the audio book but decided to download it to Kindle and take it on my week long vacation here in Cabo! So I distinctly remember you saying you would release 5 and 6 this year so we can we expect 6 to be published and do you have a name yet? This is one of my favorite series of all time!

  • Anthony Barna says:

    Hi Ed,

Let me start out by stating that I am an incredibly patient individual. In fact, in 6th grade I won an award for an “Outstanding Display of Patience in the Face of Extreme Excitement.”

With that in mind, I just need to inquire as to when the Spear of Stars will be available via audiobook. While I could certainly read the book via “words”, that seems a very painful and tedious solution. Hell, why don’t I just start chewing my own pig anus instead of buying hotdogs?

Point being, my incredible patience demands that this audio book be available RIGHT NOW. If you expect delays, please provide me with the address of TGR so that I can take his loved ones hostage to expodite the release of this audiobook.

In summary, any idea when the audiobook will be available?

    Yours Truly,
    Anthony Barna

    • Ed Robertson says:

Publishers say it’ll be out next month, so your wait is almost over.

      • Anthony Barna says:

Very much looking forward to it. I love the way you think; I love the way you write.

        • Anthony Barna says:

It warms the heart to hear that there’s someone else out there who’s willing to take human hostages to ensure the prompt delivery of this wonderful literary work. The world is definitely headed in the right direction.

And don’t forget, you only need to send the small digits to get your message across. No need to do anything rash.

    • John Saunders says:

OMG! I was coming here to, pretty much, ask the same thing, in an almost identical format :)

P.S. Please forgive my aweful humor TGR, it’s all in jest ;).

  • Olu Wan says:

Hello mr Robertson, thanks for bringing so much excitement to reading. Just finished this book and I can’t wait for the next one. Any idea when this will be out?

Thanks and keep doing the great work.

  • Rod says:

    Why isn’t this on Audible.

    • Ed Robertson says:

It will be in 24 days

      • Gregory Belcher says:

That’s what I’ve been trying to find out. Great series of books. I find myself waiting for the audio version. I drive a lot with my job so the audible version makes it a lot easier to listen to these books. I think you are a great author and hope to see more and more of your work.

  • John Saunders says:

IT’S FINALLY ON AUDIBLE as a PRE-ORDER for Oct 9th!!!
